General Course Objectives
The objective is to assist you with an average day in Italy such as shopping, phone calls, doctor’s visits, train stations and all the simple things we take for granted in our native language that is an important part of communicating day to day in a foreign language. We want to help you feel confident and learn Italian quickly and proficiently.
Every student has individual schedules and objectives. We will work with you to create the best path to learning Italian.
During our first lesson, we will discuss your goals and we will assess your level of Italian so we can shape and personalize the lessons to your interests and needs.
The assessment is based on the rules of Italian Language Training set by the European Union: A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2 plus an additional option for students who want to achieve the most advanced level—the CILS Certificate certified by the University of Siena.
The intensive method introduces you to basic communication skills while deepening your understanding so you can apply them to your daily life in Italy.
The direct method immerses you in common situations through the practice of conversation to achieve fluency of the Italian language using contemporary exercises such as stories, text readings, newspapers and current topics.
We’ll provide you with the material needed for your instruction including the worksheets we’ll use during the lesson and homework assignments.
